Geographical scope of programs: Negros Island, Visayas & Mindanao.
The LLNO is a loose group of private individuals that was created through social media and already has a membership of over 1,700 volunteers.
The foundation’s programs/projects focused on the following areas: 1) Education (classroom building, distribution of school supplies) 2) Nutrition (Mingo Meals-a nutritious instant complementary food made of rice, monggo and malunggay) 3) Livelihood and 4) Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation. HUNDREDS of volunteers belonging to Laban Leni Negros Occidental (LLNO) are expected to join the nationwide caravan for Vice President Leni Robredo on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are “to be a nation free from hunger and poverty, built through personal social responsibility and collaborative partnerships to fight hunger and poverty by providing proper nutrition, access to quality education for children of the poor and sustainable livelihood opportunities for their parents and to create sustainable programs that address malnutrition and poverty”. On Jit re-applied for PCNC Certification as a first time applicant and was certified for 1 year on Septemand which ended on October 11, 2017. They applied for renewal and was evaluated on November 13, 2013, however, they were not able to comply with the urgent concerns of the team since they were busy in responding with the Typhoon Yolanda which badly hit the Visayas Region. It was first certified for 1 year on Septemand which ended on August 24, 2013. The foundation has 16 regular staff, 1 part-time staff, 2 project-based staff, 28 regular volunteers and 9 members of the Board of Trustees.
